New Discovery!

So about a month ago one of my very lovely friends, Krystyna, clued me in on a fantastic find:

The website layout is absolutely amazing. It has a really luxe vibe but for an entirely affordable price range.  They have a great assortment of dresses, skirts, tops, and more! I mean, this  stuff is lust worthy, and as soon as I have some money, I know straight where it's going (sorry Mom&Dad.)

Music Monday!

Lately my music has been boring me a bit and I needed something new. So every once in a while I'll take chance and just click on whatever pops up first on youtube. Sometimes it's a good method, sometimes it isn't. But, last week it helped me out a bunch and I dicovered some really great music. Treasure Island

So lately I've been on a treasure hunt of sorts. I've developed a bit of an obsession with anything nautical-themed. And not just because it's summer, either. About a month from now ( 1 month and 2 days to be exact! Eeeeek!!!) I'll be heading off to college. Seeing as how our mascot is a pirate, I have developed a bit of an obsession with anything I can find relating to the theme. And to be quite honest, my daily visits to Wanelo have done absolutely nothing but encourage me. I've found all kinds of jewelry, t-shirts, and art prints all over the web that I've decided I NEED. Of course, the never-ending battle for my step-dad is for me to finally discern my needs versus my wants. No matter, it's not going to happen anytime soon. Without further ado, wenches and buccaneers (yeah,yeah, I'm working on it...) some of the things that have caught my eye:

So anyway, expect a lot more posts like this since from now on I'm basically going to be surrounded by all kinds of nautical novelties. The tshirt was really the only mermaid-related find I posted but that's because that would take  a whole month to put together. My love for mermaids is unreal (my mother has yet to convince me that I am not actually a daughter of the sea, but that I feel it's up for discussion...) so don't worry it'll pop up sooner or later! Recent Haul

So in May I graduated and to celebrate I decided to treat myself to a little bit of shopping.. Over 2 weeks(I think) I picked a few different things. Most of them are fairly simple pieces but with a little bit of flair. My favorite places to shop on a budget are Forever21 and Target.. Both have suuuuupercute stuff and for super reasonable prices.. My shopping buddy is the spectacularly amazing Cassie, who loves to shop just as much as I do. We're always very honest (as good shopping are supposed to be, it's like the number one rule) but never mean about it.
For instance:
Me to Cassie: It's really, really cute. Buuuuut it's also really, really short. Like if you even thought about bending over your butt would pop out. But it would kind of be okay because you have a nice butt.

Cassie to me: It looks good, but maybe not so much on the boobs. It's just because they're so big. Like,dude, I wish I had your boobs.

Anyway, Cassie and I have gone shopping a few times this summer and this is what I've come out with..

Semi-Annuals!

Every girl likes a good sale. I happen to love a good sale. I love to shop period, but sales give me an excuse to get cray. But, with college coming up in the fall (GO PIRATES!!) I don't have quite as much leeway in the spending department. I did stop by the Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works semi-annuals yesterday though, I couldn't help it.. I lurrrv me some VS and lately I've had a bit of a B&B obsession too, I'm not sure what all that's about? Anyway, I got this cute water bottle a few weeks ago on the first day of the VS sale:

And yesterday I really didn't get that much, but I love what I got.. Whenever I go to semi's I try to stock up. In my room I have a whole bookshelf full of perfume,lotion, nail polish what-not( I'm pretty much the definition of a girly-girl) but you can't fit all that in a dorm, so I decided to only get a few things yesterday, and specifically for my dorm room. So that means I won't be using pretty much anything I buy until August,sigh. BUT I'll have a whole bunch of brand-new stuff to add to the excitement! Without further ado:

Obsession Alert: Luxe Skirts!

Sooooo as much as I would like to just dive into this post with no acknowledgment of my entirely too long leave of absence, I feel the need to say a BIG sorry to anyone who actually reads my blog and has missed me:( If I could, I would give you a big hug and a pile of diamonds to make up for it!

I've been super into the baroque, kinda medieval glam trend lately. Read: I've always wanted to be a  princess, so this felt like a modern way to accomplish that (now if only I could find a way to bring my tiara into this...). Also, it feels very Queen Cersei from Game of Thrones,aka the best show ever, and I lurrrrrv me some GOT.

So I bought this skirt from Forever21 about a month ago, and ok, if I wore this out in my neck of the woods right now, it really wouldn't make sense seeing as how it's velvet, so I'm waiting until November when it gets a bit chillier.
